Marriott’s summer 2027 Homes & Villas offer earns 15 points per eligible dollar, but its payment rule blocks a discounted-gift-card stack.
Use a credit or debit card for this promotion—not a Marriott gift card. On $1,000 of qualifying rental charges, you earn 15,000 points instead of 5,000. At an assumed value of 0.7 cents per point, that is $105 in rewards and an effective cost of $895 before excluded fees and taxes.
What bookings qualify for triple points?
The detailed offer terms require registration and booking by November 20, 2026, followed by a qualifying stay between May 25 and September 11, 2027.
The requirements are:
- Register your Marriott Bonvoy account by November 20, 2026.
- Book through the Homes & Villas by Marriott Bonvoy website between October 19 and November 20, 2026.
- Stay at least five consecutive nights at the same participating property within the stay window.
- Pay by credit or debit card.
- Earn Bonvoy points rather than airline miles.
Existing reservations do not qualify retroactively. Canceled stays and no-shows earn no points.
How much are the extra points worth?
Triple points raises the earning rate from 5 to 15 points per qualifying dollar. A $1,000 qualifying rental therefore earns 10,000 extra points, worth $70 under our 0.7-cent assumption.
The full 15,000-point reward is worth $105 under that assumption. If you value Marriott points at 0.5 cents instead, the reward is worth $75 and the effective rental cost is $925—not $895.
These are reward-adjusted costs, not checkout discounts: you still pay the full bill upfront. Taxes, booking fees, cleaning fees, security deposits and extra services do not earn points; these examples exclude those charges, elite bonuses and credit-card rewards.
Would a discounted Marriott gift card cost less?
It cannot replace the required payment method for this promotion. Right now on Gift Card Zoo, the best generally available Marriott offer is 10% off through Arbitrage Card: about $90 for a $100 card.
CardCash offers 5.4% off, or about $95 for a $100 Marriott card. Arbitrage Card has the lower current price.
| Marriott gift-card option | Current discount | Cash cost for $100 value |
|---|---|---|
| Arbitrage Card — best generally available | 10% | About $90 |
| CardCash — regular offer | 5.4% | About $95 |
CardCash Elite members can do even better, but that members-only pricing is not used here. Gift Card Zoo currently tracks five open Marriott offers; marketplace prices can change.

Compare Marriott gift card prices →The 15-points-per-dollar promotion and the 10% gift-card discount measure different things. More importantly, the promotion requires credit or debit payment, so the $90 gift card is not a cheaper way to fund this qualifying rental.
Use card payment for the Homes & Villas offer
For this offer, register and book by November 20, 2026, then pay by credit or debit card. A $1,000 qualifying rental effectively costs $895 after valuing its 15,000 points at 0.7 cents each, before excluded charges.
Do not buy Marriott gift cards for this stack. Although $100 of Marriott gift-card value currently costs about $90 through Arbitrage Card, that payment route does not meet the promotion’s terms.
